Roe v. Wade Overturned

A year ago today, Roe v Wade was overturned and across the world, I am sure shouts of joy and praise could be heard. I'll be honest for me, that day was hard. My abortion was still so raw, still so fresh, and the fact that I hadn't told anyone and holding that pain all by myself was pulling me under. So while I could stand with what the Supreme Court decided that day and agree as a post-abortive woman that necessary decision, I was still so broken.
Throughout that day I couldn't help but think about what would have happened if this decision was made a year ago or even a few months before. Would it have changed the outcome of my life? Would I have chosen to save and protect the life of my child? Even today I wonder at that at times and yet, living in Minnesota, the abolishment of abortion is something that we as Minnesotans need to continue to fight for.
Minnesota has become a safe haven for those seeking abortions due to the laws that Governor Walz has signed into affect. Not only was Minnesota one of the first states to sign abortion into effect since the Roe v Wade but they have allowed for an unlimited abortion, at any stage of pregnancy. This means, in the state of Minnesota, a woman is allowed to have an abortion at any time up to birth.
This is horrible. This is unimaginable. This Needs to Change! Now more than ever, it is our job to protect the lives of the innocent. Those of us in the state of Minnesota need to stand up to our legislation and say this is wrong. It's not my body my choice. That baby is its own body and has the right to its own life.
There have been 64 million abortions in the United States! 64 million and my child is one of those precious babies whose lives were brutally ended and will never have the opportunity to grow up. My life along with so many others whose will forever be changed because of my decision. I will carry this hurt, this guilt, this regret for the rest of my life. How can anyone say that abortion helps women?? Have these people truly talked to those who have confronted what they've done?
Our world, now more than ever is in need of people, in need of Christians who are bold in standing up for what is right. Who will not stay silent when the world makes us afraid of being canceled or facing outlash. Here's the thing, if we, as Christians, truly knew and understood the Lord's wrath, we'd be more afraid of Him than the world. The Bible tells us so many times that as Christians we will face opposition because we follow Christ. In fact, that's a good thing because we know we're in alignment with Him. If our values and morals follow those of the world, Satan and the world will not attack us because we're doing exactly what they want. It's only when we're truly following after the Lord that we will experience persecution and the Bible tells us this so many times.
John 15:18-20, "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. Remember what I told you; 'A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also."
1 Peter 4:12-14
Matthew 10:16-18
1 Thessalonians 3:3-4
Galatians 4:29
2 Corinthians 12:9-10
Revelation 2:10-11
Matthew 5:10-12
2 Timothy 3:11-12
My friends, if the world hates you, good. As hard as that might be it means that you are not of the world but in Christ. And this we know, if we are in Christ we are promised a bright future in heaven. We do not have to be overcome by this world! Take a stand today! Be bold in your faith! Do not be afraid of persecution.
